PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: September 16, 2026
Detail Source LLC (“Detail Source,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit detailsourcellc.com, contact us, or use DS Launcher and its companion features (collectively, the “Services”).
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide. We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, support request, and any other information you send through our website or support channels.
DS Launcher and device information. DS Launcher does not require a traditional user account. The Service uses a six-digit box code or similar device identifier to pair a compatible Android TV box, connect companion features, and manage trial or paid access. We may also process app version, device type, operating-system information, settings, entitlement status, diagnostic information, and technical logs needed to operate and support the Service.
Photos and customization content. If you choose to upload a photo or background for use on your paired device, the content is processed only as needed to deliver that feature. We do not use your photos for advertising or sell them.
Live captions. When you activate live captions, your device may process audio to generate caption text. Depending on the device and speech-recognition services in use, audio or caption data may be processed by the operating system or a third-party service under its own privacy terms. Detail Source does not use caption content for advertising.
Payment and purchase information. Purchases made through our website may be processed by Paddle, our merchant-of-record and payment provider. Paddle collects payment details and may provide us with transaction, customer, tax, subscription, refund, and entitlement information. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number. Subscription and access status may also be managed through RevenueCat.
Website and usage information. Our website provider, Squarespace, and other service providers may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring website, approximate location, cookie data, and similar usage information.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to provide and operate the Services; pair devices and confirm trials or paid access; process purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds; respond to questions and support requests; maintain security and prevent fraud or misuse; troubleshoot, analyze, and improve performance; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
3. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, including Paddle for checkout, billing, tax, fraud prevention, and refunds; RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management; Squarespace for website hosting and forms; app stores, hosting providers, analytics providers, and technical vendors as needed to deliver the Service.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a merger or business transfer, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for third-party behavioral advertising.
4. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Our website and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation, security, preferences, analytics, and performance. You can control cookies through your browser and any cookie-preference tools available on the website. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
5. DATA RETENTION
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Service, maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and provider. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
6. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control, subject to legal exceptions. You may also object to or restrict certain processing where applicable. Annual subscriptions may be canceled before renewal as explained in our Refund Policy. To submit a privacy request, email info@detailsourcellc.com. We may need to verify your request before responding.
If a payment provider, app store, or other independent service controls the relevant information, you may need to submit your request directly to that provider.
7. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. INTERNATIONAL USE
Our Services and providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your location. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or other reasonable means.
